There are many star studded events among the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California, but none quite sparkled like the performance by Arielle Dollinger.

Singing and playing guitar toward her future as a household name, Dollinger won over the ears and minds of her audience at The Green Room, a small, snug room beneath the famous Viper Room, Thursday night, September 10, 2009, with her lively, entertaining and heart felt performance.

The folksy, acoustic songstress played an intimate thirty minute set, intertwining ditties of heartache and good old fashioned, upbeat indie inspired blues.

Arielle Dollinger On Tour

Witnessing a personal performance by Arielle Dollinger is like going on a date with champagne that tastes so good, you don't want to stop drinking and lilies that smell so good, you just have to get closer. Dollinger is irresistible bait of the seeing is believing kind. She is refreshing proof that you do not have to bare all and sing about surface scrapping content to be considered talented. If the music industry were to have a revolution, it would begin with Dollinger.

Her red curls graced her freckled, ivory skin as she uttered words of past hardship that even the most callous of women could relate to. Attaining the attention of listeners who you are otherwise unknown to is a difficult task at hand. Dollinger conquered it with effortless elegance. The words rolled smoothly from her lips and the gestures were natural, believable.

It has been said that even the greatest, most experienced of entertainers still possess a sense of nervousness before their shows. No great performance comes without some apprehensiveness or shyness, if you will. Upon stepping onto the minute stage, under the bright, sweat inducing lights, Dollinger inhaled, then exhaled. She cradled her guitar as if it were her only child and strummed the first note.

The audience inhaled, intently anticipating the accompanying lyrics that spoke of awkward relationships. It was almost as if each member of her audience was a string on her red, Fender Highway One Stratocaster, adhering to her every chord, her every pluck. Her melodies beckoned and her charming demeanor in between songs was undeniable. Searching for something negative to say about Dollinger would be like searching for a needle in a haystack.

What's New with Dollinger

Currently, Dollinger is playing live gigs around the Los Angeles area and honing her guitar skills. She recently joined the online network of performing artists at TheSixtyOne and her myspace page proclaims that she's, “peeking out from the rabbit hole...” Don't miss her next show at Café Cordiale in Sherman Oaks, California on Wednesday, October 14th, 2009.

A recent interview with the performing/recording artist herself can be read here.
